I just realized that I keep blogging about all the American Idol copycats around the world, and I don't even watch the real American Idol (...very much. I just like to know who gets kicked off even though I don't watch them sing).
So this may only be interesting to a couple of my sisters or high school friends who actually know Benji. We went to a year of jr. high and all of high school together. I wouldn't say we were friends...mostly just friendly acquaintances. But now we are Facebook and blogging friends, and I enjoy watching his progress on Taiwan's Super Idol. I don't understand most of what is being said (I do understand "thank you", but that's it), but it's fun watching him every week. He always posts a link to his performances on his Facebook page, so go be his friend if you want to follow along.

It sounded like he said Liz a few times? Did he serve a mission over there or something or how did he learn the language?
So who is this Liz girl that broke his heart? He told a story about dating her in Shanghai for 6 months, and then and old boyfriend who had dogged her and married another girl came looking for her. He had recently divorced from the previous girl and wanted another chance with Liz. Apparently Liz decided to take him bake and marry this guy. And Benji took it pretty hard. Sad story. :(
I'm assuming he served his mission there. Thanks for the translation, Dallas. I was wondering what his whole story was about.

That is AWESOME! Way to go Benji! Too bad he had that bad breakup experience :( It's wierd hearing him sing in another language, but hey if you can do it...do it...right!
He went to BYU then on a mission there. He decided that he loved it so much over there that he went back after graduating from BYU. He has done so many cool things over there. I think that it is so cool that he knew exactly what he wanted to do and went for it. Very accomplish. He will go far.
