Everybody Poops
The happy day has arrived! Sam is pretty close to being all the way potty-trained, and we're thrilled! We decided that we we're tired of buying so many diapers and pull-ups, so we tried keeping him in underwear anytime we were just hanging out at home. He has had a few accidents, but mostly waits to do his business on the potty. He used to not sit on the potty long enough to poop at all, but we tried books and movies on our portable DVD player, and now at last he gets those poops in the potty. It's been a few days since the last big accident, so we're knocking on wood and hoping that it sticks. He still uses a pull-up for nap time and sleeping, but we're hoping to retire those as well in the near future. Today he went to church for the first time in underwear, and he didn't have any accidents!

Yippeeeee!!! I'll send Nathan right over for some lessons. Way to go Sam!
WAY TO GO SAM-I-AM!!!! That will be a great day when Peter gets to that point. Though, just this week he's suddenly decided he hates sitting in dirty diapers and as soon as he does his business he wants a clean one. Now if only we could get him to tell us BEFORE he does his business... maybe when he's Sam's age cuz I'd love to be done with diapers (his size anyway, Aaron's got a long way to go in that department) in 3 or so months.
Bravo, Sam! Keep up the good work! And yay for your mommy and daddy who have been diligent--double yay for the $ they'll be saving!
That is awsome that he is starting to get the poop on the pot bit. You will be saving so much money on diapers, but then comes the second baby, and the money goes right back down the drain. Not to mention that Sam might think..."I'm the cute baby in this family. Not this little alien invading my house."...and revert back to the "baby mode" with the diapers. But you two are such great parents that that will prob. never happen. Hope your well!!
